Well from perspective from Poland it's the oposite; USA and NATO are only brakes on Germany imperialistic  IV Riech (EU)  ambitions; maybe new French Goverment under Sarko will be less Russo and Germnophilic and more suportive for CE nations like Poland and Serbia. BTW what Serbs are thinking about Putin pro German and Anti Israeli policies?

Yeah, I agree on that Germany imperialism.
Its like USA let Germans do what ever they like in Europe, thats how all III reich or austrian-hungary (depend of war) axis countries on balkans get their independence first time in history (croatia, bosnia, slovenia, kosovo to be). On the other side, Serbs (allys from both world wars) becomes bad guys and "evil butchers".
In 1941 when germans occupied Yugoslavia croats went out on the streets of Zagreb and welcomed Wermacht with flowers.

Germany is to blame for civil war in Yugoslavia during the 90s, they recognised Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia independence and supported those republics right away.
USA done the same thing few days later, I guess it was some agreement among Germany and USA, that Germany should take leading role in EU and as USA's "brand new ally" will be supported by USA with no question.
I don't know about Putins pro German policy but I got to tell you, if Putin comes to Serbia he will be welcomed as an rock star.
He is among few (if not the only one) world leaders who not agree with Kosovo Independence.
Western support of Serbian enemies (muslims & croats) unfortunately push Serbia very strong towards Russia for last decade.
Its very sad that Russia is only significant country that stands for law in Kosovo solution and only supporter (verbal though) of Serbia during the 90s, of course that is just because of USA's support of "other side" but still...
Here on Balkans it looks if some nation that was USA ally in world wars is stupid nation and have to be punished for that alliance now after Germany is back on world politic.
Germany is bad word in Serbia, always has been.
