Haredi MK Proposes Law To Ban Gas Chambers and Ovens

(IsraelNN.com) MK Moshe Gafni (UTJ) proposed a law on Monday that would require that Jewish corpses be buried in Jewish cemeteries. The proposal is a reaction against the increasing popularity of cremation in Israel.

Cremation, and any other type of mutilation of a corpse, is forbidden by Jewish law, unless there is an immediate life-saving benefit, such as in the case of organ donation.

Any little step in turning Israel into a Torah based country is a step in the right direction.
