If he plays this wrong then he just made a HUGE mistake. Your scenario is possible, but it is a risky one. In my opinion the immediate release of the photos would have boosted his opinion poll numbers even more. Not releasing them stops his political momentum.

Muslims had no problem in showing Nick Bergs execution and parts of that were shown on Al Jez why should we afford the same right to them?

"It's not who we are" claims obama, but reuters got ahold of the pics of the other dead terrorists there and published them.  Obviously they wouldn't have done so without obamassiah's approval, so why do you think Obama released the photos of other dead terrorists but not bin laden?   Perhaps you are right Brett that this is a political strategy.
