These people are so loyal to America, and yet more hated than any colored at that time. Italians were discriminated against and persecuted by nativists. Irish people were not allowed to work in certain places. Sad.

Last time I checked, Arabs, Turks, and Iranians were recognized as "white" by U.S. racial census court in early 20th century

I don't think Irish immigrants were going in the streets killing people or selling drugs.

Italians, well.... there's been enough movies about that ;)

Anyways, this is a non issue, there are plenty of Mexican and Puerto Rican people in this country who speak English and they are not discriminated or hated.

Irish-Americans usually don't go around killing people and selling drugs unlike blacks.
