It also clearly shows that all the "fight .." passages are to be taken as metaphors and the fighting being referred to is the kind i'm doing on this forum right now.

ok, I belong to the Ahmadi sect, its neither sunni nor shia. I don't believe everything other muslims do (esp ppl like him) is correct. We believe that many things should be taken as metaphors, so much so, that although we emphasis jihad quite a lot, you will have never heard of an ahmadi commiting acts of terrorism (or even killing, for that matter).
trust me, i despise islamofascism as much as you do. in pakistan, ahmadiat is illegal, and im sure in iran and several arab states it would be as well. we are executed in pakistan, we are tortured simply for saying "Salaam." When i argue anything, its not for them, its from our sect's point of view unless stated otherwise.
