Ask JTF for Sunday, November 6, 2011
The proud Jew:
Dear chaim
1. It is wounderfull to hear that we have moles within the evil yesha council. i pray to hashem that we will have moles in the high echelons of every boulshavic institution. My question is, Would you accept a donation that can finance us as a mass movement if it came from an illegal source?
2. I want to know what is jtf's vision for the future economy and healthcare of israel? Do you believe that we should have a capitalist based system with loving and kindness? My vision for the israeli economy is to be more self sufficient and a major need for anti trust laws and also jewish labor. Another example I have is that if 1 jew wants to open up a shopping mall that will put local stores/shops out of business that he/she would be commanded to include the other jewish businesses in the mall.
3. Would I desocrate the shabbat if my water heater and electricity is charging all of the time through solar energy?I know in the torah it says we should not light a fire, but if you arnt causing a flame then I think its ok. The reason why I ask this because with the modern times through modern technology thus making our lives more convinient, there is a strong need to adress these issues with technology and halacha.
Chai:
Shalom Reb Chaim!
1. A Yimachsemo to the informer Deputy State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan.
2.Is Rick Perry a Drunk?
3. In Sefer Bereshit on day 3 was plants and day 4 sunlight. How do plants grow without sunlight? Does this mean for a time plants did not need photosynthesis to grow? Why did G-d change his mind in the way the universe works.
4. Do you think Esav sold his birthright because he knew being a man of G-d meant many hardships, seeing how his righteous Grandfather Abraham was righteous , but in return hashem gave him test after test and ultimately Abraham's life in this world was very hard and painful. How the Satan killed his Grandmother. How is father was blind, as well his bother Jacobs tragic life of being chased from his home being tricked by lavon loosing his beloved wife Rachel, famine and loosing his son Josef. This had to be Esavs thought process, asking himself is this how G-d treats his followers? Why is G-d so cruel to such amazing and pure people, and proud of it by writing it in our holy book. My only answer I can think of is Olam Haba , but I am hoping for a better answer.
Thank you so much for your time.
Abben:
Hey Chaim its been a while, but I have been listening to Ask JTF every week. Here are my questions
I read in the news paper after gaddafi(YSV) was killed that Muhammad Anwar al-Sadat(YSV) called him a wild mad dog. Was he being truthful in that statement or was that just muslim taqqiya?
Also do you consider dov hikind a sell out?
Thanks and GD bless
Bourne:
Dear Chaim. Can you please provide the Jewish perspective on Judges 21:10-24? I had responded to a ridiculous statement made online by an antisemite. He said, "If you go and take a look at the bible in Joshua & Judges, you can see that Hashem commands Jews to utterly rape and pillage everything they see in their path. Jews have always been merciless invaders ever since they escaped slavery from the Egyptians." After I responded accusing him of distorting the Bible, he responded by quoting Judges 21:10-24.
I believe you've commented on this before, but could you please refresh my memory on the Jewish perspective of these passages?

Bosnian Serbs kill bid for a palestine
The leader of the Bosnian Serbs and president of their mini-state, Milorad Dodik, said after the meeting that the Serb representatives in the central institutions are against the possibility of Bosnia voting at the Security Council for the Palestinian bid.
He added that he now expects Bosnian Serbs and Israel to strengthen economic ties and work on tourism and agriculture.
Lieberman, a Russian speaker who was born in Moldova, was on his second visit to the Bosnian Serbs this year, and spent several days of his vacation in the Bosnian Serb part of the country.
