Once upon a time there was a pack of wolves and a flock of sheep. Every time the pack of wolves tried to get close enough to the sheep to attack them the sheep would run because the sheep knew the wolves were trying to eat them. Frustrated the wolves got together and tried to figure out a plan to get close enough to attack. They noticed one wolf in the pack that looked more like a sheepdog then a wolf and decided to send that one wolf down to the herd to see if he could get close enough and deceive the sheep, after all he was small wolf and unassuming looking, not threatening at all.
So one day down the hill the small wolf went acting as harmless as he could. To his surprise the sheep did not run, his ruse had worked; he walked among the sheep pretending to be a sheepdog. The wolf gained the trust of the sheep and one day said to the sheep, you know I’m a wolf. The sheep, surprised, said but you have not tried to eat us. The wolf said you have been misled, wolves want to be your friends, and all the horrible things you have been told about wolves are either not true, have been exaggerated or are the acts of renegade wolves that do not represent all wolves. Wolves are really peace loving and wish only to live hand in hand with you sheep in peace.
The sheep did not want to be known as prejudice or discriminatory so they trusted the wolf and let him bring down a couple more wolves to prove they were not mean. Day by day more and more wolves were allowed to walk freely among the sheep until the whole pack was eventually walking among the sheep without alarm.
On that day the wolves attacked and consumed every sheep in the flock
