In theory yeah that is true but consider that if a "conservative" Republican president adopted anti-Semitism as official policy it would quickly lead the entire GOP down that route. Where would we be at if both major parties were officially Jew-hating?
The so-called right of today is not much less Jew-hating than the Nazi left. Look at Grover Norquist, Chris Christie, Ron Paul, Marco Rubio, Gingrich himself, etc. Of course none of those people are real conservatives but most people believe them to be, including most people who call themselves Republicans.
