He has become a media whore and he must have always been a scum. And he isn't the first or the only one. Chaim Avraham, whose son was murdered and his body held hostage by Hezbullah in 2000 is also a member of the Labor and past candidate. Karnit Goldwasser whose husband was also murdered and held "captive" by hezbullah in 2006 has made a career as a media personality and now she is reported to also be considering entering politics to a new left wing party.

Shalit's actions validate my beliefs that Israel needs politicans that did not grow up in Israel.  This is because personal experiences cloud rational judgement and although it does also apply the other way, I believe that more people are pushed to the left

As for Noam's wimpy son, we still haven't heard:
a) how he was captured
b) whether he resisted capture
c) whether he tried to escape
Gilad should be made to finish his compulsory military duty

I think Gilad was in on it with his captors. Usually Israelis captured by Arabs do not survive.
