Sandra Fluke Demands Catholic Law School Pay Her For Birth Control Pills

Here is Sandra Fluke testifying before Democrats on why she needs to have her birth control pills paid for. 



Now come on, she knew what she was getting into when decided to attend a Catholic law school.  How expensive are birth control pills anyway?  Couldn't she just get them at a local Planned Parenthood?  Also, what about the rights of the people at the university?  Why should they be forced to provide abortifacients when Catholics view abortion as a sin?  In a way, it's like gay marriage.  All we hear about is right of homosexuals to marry just like straight people.  But what about the rights of priests/ministers/rabbis?  If I remember correctly, there was something in that gay marriage bill about not punishing religious clergy for refusing to marry gay couples.  So what's the big deal here with Miss Fluke? 

I've read on other blogs that Miss Fluke read the school's insurance policy beforehand but decided to attend anyway just for the purpose of challenging their law on birth control pills. 

(On another note, I think women with polycystic ovarian syndrome *should* have the pill covered in their insurance.)

Notice where she says she should not be forced to choose between a quality education and her health?  Does she expect us to believe that Georgetown was the only choice for her?  If she was on a scholarship, chances are she had very good grades.  I find it hard to believe that no other law school offered her a scholarship.  She just wanted to challenge a Catholic school. 

Anyway, Brennanfan on another thread linked to Rush Limbaugh's take on this whole thing.  In a nutshell, he called her a slut and suggested she make a porno video since she was asking people to pay her to have sex.  And then Obama got in on the action and called her to congratulate her.  Unfortunately, he caved in and apologized.

She deliberately enrolled for a catholic university because she wanted to impose a feminazi agenda. She formed a crazy group dubbed "women reproductive rights" or something. Everything she says is a complete nonsense. Anyway since she is apparently in the habbit of having intercourse 1000 times per year she must use condoms which I believe one can get for free, or at least most male partners would be happy to provide in exchange for sex with a woman of such famed reputation.

Now it's true that birth control pills have other medical uses for certain problems but this is clearly not what the fluke is fighting for.

Rush Limbaugh made a sarcastic remark to demonstrate the absurdity of this feminazi, it was not equal to calling her a slut. Personally I can't imagine this fluke ever needing birth controll since she must be a men hating bulldyke.

Rush was right when he called her a slut, but instead of standing by what he said, he caved like a little wimp and apologized.

She has no right to demand that a Catholic institution provide her with contraception when she can go down to any drug store or gas station and buy a pack of condoms, ribbed for her pleasure.

If she needs emergency contraception, she can get that from any Walgreens or CVS or other drug store over the counter, she just needs to ask for Plan B.

I don't think that the school should have to pay for her sexual behavior.

Probably the reason Rush caved had to do with the fact that certain abominable businesses which are apparently run by nymphomaniacs started boycotting his show.  Because Rush cares more about money than he does about truth and ideology (one sign that someone is not a true conservative), he decided to show weakness and apologize.

I don't think he's a very strong conservative or he wouldn't have had Elton John sing for him. There are other problems with him too, but in general he's usually said the right things and inspired a lot of other right wing radio hosts of varying quality.

I don't know what his true beliefs are, if he even has any, but I doubt he's as far right as he portrays himself to be.

If there is a medical diagnosis that requires a woman to take birth control pills, eg irregular menstruation, then cover the prescription if the doctor ethically makes that diagnosis.  But if under the purpose of birth control, well, they can just go and suck it.  Use a condim, you slut.  Birth control pills won't protect you from hiv

Georgetown, an RC School, is so exorcised about paying for Ms. Fluke's birth control on religious and moral grounds.  But they have no moral repugnance about giving a total three-year financial free ride to a black student on racial grounds, an even bigger moral repugnance and affront to human decency with no justification.  So I think it is fine for Georgetown to pay a nominal fee to Ms. Fluke for her contraceptives.  I would call it Affirmative Action for white people.  I would like to see how Georgetown justifies this Catch-22.  Of course, I know how they will- how all good liberals have for the last 50 years.
1) We have no say in the matter- it is a federal mandate
2) We must make up for our past discriminations even if it means discriminating against white people forever
So, give Ms. fluke her birth control pills for free.
