The polls showed Rick Santorum in third place in both Alabama and Mississippi. He and Newt Gingrich were once again splitting the conservative vote. Mitt Romney outspent Santorum five to one.

Yet Santorum wins both states.

I know the odds are still against Santorum winning the nomination, but I still say he would be the strongest Republican candidate and the best President.

I agree 100%

Why won't newt drop out?
I bet you that the weaker romney is loving that newt is still in it.

I wish Newt would drop out too. I hate the fact that we have to watch these things happen and can't do much to change them. I think Santorum would be the best too at this point.

Santorum wins but he didn't get any where in the delegate count.
I don't like Santorum because he has about as much qualifications as obaaamy has to be president.
The one thing that I don't like is how delegates are counted, Santorum won both states but only came out with 8 more delegates then Romney and Romney wiped that gain out by winning Hawaii so Santorum only gained 1 delegate for all his winning.
They have to come up with a better system like winner take all.
