Are Sikhs idalators like Hindus? I've heard they were Hindus but believe in one G-d which they got from Islam and that it's a blend of the two. I also heard from a Hindu nationalist online who was friendly with the "JDL" under Irv Rubin that Westerners made up that Sikhism is a separate religion and he said he's a Sikh Hindu.

Jhatka for Sikhs is the antithesis[1][2] of ritual slaughter. As stated in the official Khalsa Code of Conduct,[3] Kutha meat is forbidden, and Sikhs are recommended to eat the jhatka form of meat, as they do not believe that any ritual gives meat a spiritual virtue (ennobles the flesh).[4][5]
 
For Sikhs jhatka karna or jhatkaund refers to the instantaneous severing of the head of an animal with a single stroke of any weapon, with the underlying intention of killing the animal whilst causing it minimal suffering.
 
During the British Raj, jhatka meat was not allowed in jails and Sikh detainees during the Akali movement and beyond had to resort to violence and agitations to secure this right. Hindu and Sikh both if they eat meat are supposed to eat only Jhataka meat. Sikhs do it firmly on sacred religious grounds but Hindus sometimes keep on failing.

All kinds of opinions keep on rolling and coming and going whether Sikhs are not Hindus or Sikhs are among Hindus or Sikhs are only real Hindus.

Sikhism or Jainism or Buddhism may sound different to the outsider. But for us all these are conglomerate of Hinduism.


Sacred places/Holy places of Sikhs/Jains/Buddhists are common.

For example Mount Kailash is famous holy place for Hindus as well as Tibetans Monks. Hindus have stories denoting how Hindu deities are symbolized by these mountains, while Tibetan Buddhists have stories claiming their oldest monks to thave attained nirvana there. The Highest Sikh Guru (Guru Nanak) extensively traveled across Himalayas and considered mount kailash to have spiritual significance.

In Sikh holy books (Guru granth Sahib), Both Muslim G-d (Allah) and Hindu deity (Ram) are mentioned as different names of the same One Almighty G-d.

Majority of Hindus in India believe that Sikhism was started as per the will of the G-d, to fight Islamic effect/rule in India, as well as to reduce the animosity between Hindus and Muslims
