I don't know how much influene Kahanist ideas really have over there considering the people in charge certainly aren't following his teachings or Biblical teachings in regards to giving land away.
Rarely, do great men accomplish anything when they speak truth, in their life. But soviet Jewry, funding yeshivas, and many other issues are things with profound impacts on Jewish society, not to mention the shift in the thinking of many Jews.
