Regarding Medrashim speaking of the future

-Many medrashim speaking of the future have already occurred.
-CHZAL predicted everything from their time and on.
-Meaning, Napoleon and Alexander the Great were just as important as the Twin Towers, if not more important.
-An example is the medrash of the three wars between Edom and Yishmoel. One on the land, one on the sea and one at the gates of Yerushalaim.
-Every thing in this medrash probably manifested during the Crusades with the Christen Muslim wars.

I have heard this said that these prophecies have already occurred. But I believe that most agree that only two wars have been fought so far, leaving the third and final war to come. Aside from the mention in the quote I posted above I cannot find much other mention of this idea..
