Syrian rebels shell gas station near Idlib.

Syrian rebels shell a gas station, which government forces were said to be using as a refuge; while regime forces target a camp for Palestinians.

Other clips capture the devastation caused by a purported airstrike by government forces on a camp in Deraa province, where Palestinians were said to be housed.

Syria: France's evidence of chemical weapons use increases with 14 samples

France's evidence that the chemical nerve agent sarin has been used in the Syrian civil has dramatically increased, with 14 separate samples now having tested positive from victims.

Syrian warplanes bombard rebel areas in Homs.

Syrian warplanes and ground forces bombarded rebel-held neighbourhoods in Homs on Saturday as part of the military's ongoing campaign against opposition fighters in the heart of the country's third largest city, activists said.

The army of President Bashar Assad has been on the offensive in recent weeks, reclaiming some of the territory it has lost to the rebels in the past year. The military, building on its capture of the strategic town of Qusair between the Lebanese border and Homs at the beginning of this month, has overrun a number of villages nearby. It also has hammered the centre of the city, a rebel stronghold since the uprising against Mr Assad began in March 2011.

The game changer may arrive at any earlier date.

Syrian forces escalate assault on rebels in Homs

Syrian government forces have launched a withering offensive against rebel held parts of the central city of Homs, determined to deal the final blow to the “capital of the revolution”.

Syria: 3,500 tons of weapons already sent to rebels, says Lord Ashdown

Lord Ashdown, the former Liberal Democrat leader, spoke out against arming Syria's rebels and called for pressure to be put on Qatar and Saudi Arabia to cut off funding for arms.

“They do not need arms. It is an unchallenged figure that 3,500 tons of arms have been shipped in by way of Croatia with the assistance of the CIA, funded by the Saudis, funded by the Qataris, going almost exclusively to the more jihadist groups,” the former international high representative for Bosnia said in a debate.

Britain and France favour arming the rebels, while in a change of policy Washington recently announed it would supply direct miltiary aid to opponents of President Bashar al-Assad. Officials have said they would select “moderate rebels” for assistance.

No one should better try to stop this protracted war of muslamic infighting at Syria. Rather it should be probed that how a similar thing can be started in egypt as well.

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

A Catholic priest has been shot and killed in northern Syria, The Telegraph has found, contradicting claims that he is the victim in a widely-circulated beheading video.

Egypt: Bashar al-Assad says coup is defeat for political Islam

Syria's Bashar al-Assad, fighting to crush a two-year-old uprising against his rule, said the upheavel in Egypt was a defeat for political Islam.

There is long-standing animosity between the Damascus regime and the Muslim Brotherhood, and membership in the group has been punishable by death in Syria since the 1980s.
The Syrian branch of the Brotherhood today plays a key role in the exiled opposition National Coalition, which is recognised by more than 100 states and organisations as legitimate representative of the Syrian people.
Mr Morsi has expressed support for foreign intervention against Mr Assad and attended a rally two weeks ago calling for holy war in Syria.

Syria: West seeks to secure evidence chemical weapons used in Homs

Western intelligence agencies are seeking to secure evidence that chemical weapons were used in a recent attack on a rebel-held district of Homs by the Syrian regime as it intensified its offensive on the city.

Victims complaining of breathing difficulties were treated by rebel medics in the city shortly after exposure to white smoke that rose from the site of a shell strike on a frontline mosque in the city.

Either Assad is using the homeopathic dosages of the gas under question or he is using concentrated dosage of some out of the date mosquito repellent. Otherwise the actions for crossing the red line would have already commenced against him by now.

Tony Blair calls for intervention in Syria:

Tony Blair has criticised the "inaction" of governments that have failed to intervene in the conflict in Syria as he called for a no-fly zone in the region and said Britain should consider arming the rebels in the country.

Yes, without this help the muslamic terrorists and man eater rebels will be lost in the battles too early and it will not remain a protracted war.

Russia claims Syrian rebels have used sarin gas:

Russia's envoy to the UN has handed over evidence which indicates Syrian rebels used sarin gas in an attack in March.

Vitaly Churkin said Russian experts had been to the scene of an attack at Khan al-Assal near Aleppo and had gathered firsthand evidence.

Syria's government has refused to let a UN inspection team into the country, but this week invited UN officials for talks on launching an investigation.

Mr Churkin said the Russian inquiry had "established" that rebel forces had fired a Bashar 3 missile at the town, killing 26 people, including 16 troops.

"The results of the analysis clearly indicate that the ordinance used in Khan al-Assal was not industrially manufactured and was filled with sarin," Mr Churkin said. "There is every reason to believe that it was the armed opposition fighters who used chemical weapons in Khan al-Assal."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10169921/Russia-claims-Syrian-rebels-have-used-sarin-gas.html

Russia should not unnecessarily try to implicate the muslamic man eater rebels on the charges of using sarin. Russians should understand that the day the west reaches to the right conclusion that the muslamic rebels or terrorists are using the sarin they will immediately stop supporting them and then those muslamic terrorists will not be able to withstand for a single day and this protracted war will come to a grinding halt. Then these muslamic terrorists will have no other choice but to disperse away in to Europe and all other nations on a global basis with their share of the gas. What a terrible loss that will be to the world. So let the muslamic terrorism be allowed to perish at here and here itself. Assad shall be allowed to do his part of the job.

Spy agencies fear terror groups could get chemical weapons in Syria:

MI6 fears al-Qaeda groups fighting in Syria could seize the regime’s stockpile of chemical weapons with “catastrophic consequences” for the UK and the West.

Sir John Sawers, chief of the Secret Intelligence Service, warned MPs there could be a “highly worrying proliferation” of the deadly weapons if president Bashar Assad’s regime falls.

All three spy agencies believe Syria now represents the biggest terror threat to the UK, including the risk of British jihadists travelling there and returning to attack this country.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10171890/Spy-agencies-fear-terror-groups-could-get-chemical-weapons-in-Syria.html

So in any case whether the muslamic terrorists win or loose, they will carry forward the gas everywhere.

Syria: moderate rebels accuse al-Qaeda groups of murdering commander

Syria’s rebel movement descended into its own conflict last night after an al-Qaeda-linked faction was accused of assassinating a senior commander in the Free Syrian Army.

Despite public announcements that the US is ready to arm the rebels, several commanders on the ground have told the Telegraph that they have not yet received any weapons.

The result has been the progressive weakening of moderate rebel groups, who are left increasingly impotent against both the Syrian government and the will of well-funded foreign jihadists.

“There is not enough strength in the FSA now to fight the groups. All the good fighters joined the Islamic groups because they could provide arms and a salary,” said Ahmed, a rebel in Syria’s Idlib province. “All the good leaders are there. If you ask me now, the FSA is empty and the future of Syria is finished”.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10176996/Syria-moderate-rebels-accuse-al-Qaeda-groups-of-murdering-commander.html

Muslamic infighting is seriously growing even within the Syrian rebels. Now what will happen to this protracted war.

Suicide attack kills 39 in Iraq:

At least 39 people have been killed and an unknown number injured in a suicide bomb attack at a café in northern Iraq, according to local police and medics, Reuters reports.

The Friday blast took place in a coffee shop in the ethnically mixed city of Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of the capital Baghdad. Customers were relaxing after breaking their fast for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Syria air strike damages crusader castle that sheltered Richard the Lionheart:

Syrian regime jets carried out an air strike that caused heavy damage to the country’s greatest crusader fort, Crac des Chevaliers as the front line in the fighting for the city of Homs moved to the ancient fortress.

“This is the destruction caused by MiG air strike on the Crac des Chevaliers,” an activist filming the damage can be heard saying.

Crac des Chevaliers along with the adjoining Qalat Salah el-Din fortress, is considered a crown jewel of the Middle East and one of the best-preserved crusader castles in existence. Built by the Knights Hospitallers as one of a string of fortresses during the crusades, Crac des Chevalliers was described by Lawrence of Arabia as the “best-preserved and most wholly admirable castle in the world”.

David Cameron warned arming Syrian rebels could embroil Britain in all-out war:

David Cameron abandoned plans to arm the Syrian rebels after being warned by military chiefs that it could embroil British forces in an all-out war.

Senior military figures have warned the Prime Minister that with the momentum on the side of President Assad's regime, sending small arms and missiles is unlikely to make a difference.

There are also growing concerns that arms sent to Syria could end up in the hands of extremists rather than moderate rebels, potentially presenting a long-term threat to British security.

More significant military intervention, such as introducing a no-fly zone over Syria, could mire Britain in a conflict for months because of the strength of the regime's air defences.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/david-cameron/10179226/David-Cameron-warned-arming-Syrian-rebels-could-embroil-Britain-in-all-out-war.html

British forces shall instead draw up plans to help train and advise moderate elements of the opposition forces fighting the regime for a protracted war of the muslamic infighting.
