Biden takes first military action with Syria strike on Iran-backed militias
The US has carried out an air strike targeting Iran-backed militias in Syria, in the first military action undertaken by the Biden administration.

The Pentagon said the strike destroyed "multiple facilities" and was ordered in response to attacks against US and coalition personnel in Iraq.

Militia officials said one person had been killed but a war monitor reported at least 22 fatalities.

Syria condemned the attack as a "bad sign" from the new US administration.

The Pentagon said its strike near the Iraqi border in eastern Syria was a "proportionate military response" that was taken "together with diplomatic measures", including consulting coalition partners.

At least it is a ray of good hope. The actions against the global muslamic terrorism shall continue unabated.

china has almost already formed the axis with pakistan and turkey. turkey wants a caliphate. iran is knocking on its doors. They are confident with the chinese ICBMs having the range of 15000 Kms loaded  with megatons. This range is highest in the world. pakistan too has the nukes sufficient for many small nations. china has the largest population and largest army and largest navy. They expect total army support from 55 other muslamic nations. They plan Israel and India to be attacked simultaneously by 13 muslamic nations. Obviously their madness knows no bounds. It is very simple !!! They have to be stopped !!!

Afghanistan: Street fighting rages as Taliban attack key city

Ferocious fighting is taking place in a major Afghan city, amid fears it could be the first provincial capital to fall to the Taliban.

Lashkar Gah in southern Helmand province is under heavy assault from the militants, despite persistent US and Afghan air strikes.

The Taliban are said to have seized a TV station. Thousands of people fleeing rural areas took shelter in buildings.

"There is fighting all around," a doctor told the BBC from his hospital.

Hundreds of Afghan reinforcements have been deployed to battle the militants. The Taliban have made rapid advances in recent months as US forces have withdrawn after 20 years of military operations in the country.

Helmand was the centrepiece of the US and British military campaign, and Taliban gains there would be a blow for the Afghan government.

Taliban have all out support from pakistan who in turn have all out support from china.

Afghanistan war: Taliban capture three regional capitals

The Taliban have captured three regional capitals in Afghanistan as they continue to make sweeping territorial gains in the country.

They seized control of the key northern city of Kunduz on Sunday, as well as Sar-e-Pul and Taloqan.

It means five regional capitals have fallen to the militants since Friday, with Kunduz being their most important gain this year.

The city is well connected to other areas, including the capital Kabul.

Violence has escalated across Afghanistan after US and other international forces began to withdraw their troops from the country, following 20 years of military operations.

Taliban militants have made rapid advances in recent weeks. Having captured large swathes of the countryside, they are now targeting key towns and cities.

The three northern cities fell to Taliban control within hours of each other on Sunday, with one resident in Kunduz describing the situation as "total chaos".

The Afghan government, meanwhile, said its forces were fighting to retake key installations.

Heavy fighting has also been reported in Herat in the west, and in the southern cities of Kandahar and Lashkar Gah.

The war is getting intensified but the taliban are advancing in to some important cities.

Afghanistan conflict: Taliban push into Kabul as president flees

The Taliban are on the brink of victory in Afghanistan, after their fighters entered the capital Kabul and seized the presidential palace.

The government has collapsed, with President Ashraf Ghani fleeing abroad.

Kabul descended into chaos, as local residents and foreign nationals tried to escape.

For many Afghans it was a terrifying day that marked the return of Taliban rule almost 20 years after they were ousted by a US-led coalition.

At the airport, an eyewitness told the BBC staff had abandoned their desks and people were running to planes.

Kabul was the last major city in Afghanistan to hold out against the Taliban offensive, which began months ago but has accelerated in the space of days.

The group were able to seize control now that foreign troops have all but withdrawn.

US President Joe Biden has defended the withdrawal of American troops, saying he could not justify an "endless American presence in the middle of another country's civil conflict".

It is a total surrender by all involved in front of Taliban. Only positive aspect is that the Taliban has come in open.

The Taliban have spread in most regions of Afghanistan. Only the Northern Alliance forces in the north are willing and are able to fight with them. The fight is nearing. Amrullah Saleh has been declared Executive President of the Afghanistan. He is being strongly supported by the War Leaders like Ahmad Masood, Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, Hazara, some more and the peoples at large. The objective is to finish the Taliban completely. US can perform a lot of services by bombing its own left out weapon depots and military installations in various places at Afghanistan.

Three serial blasts by Islamic State in front of Kabul Airport. 60 killed and 70 serious. More than 8 US soldiers and citizens involved. A result of competition among the Muslamic terrorist gangs.
