Terrorists launch over 80 rockets, mortars from Gaza in 24 hours.
Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired at least 51 rockets and mortars into Israel since midnight Saturday night, injuring three civilians. The barrage continued a serious escalation that began Saturday evening and progressed through the night, with two IAF air strikes targeting a weapons manufacturing site, two weapons storage facilities and two rocket launching sites in the northern part of the territory.

Municipalities near the southern border canceled school on Sunday amid the ongoing rocket fire.

The fresh launches bring the total number of rocket and mortar attacks to over 75. Hamas announced that it was also taking part in the rocket attacks, Israel Radio reported.

The three wounded Israelis suffered light to moderate injuries from shrapnel, and were evacuated to the Soroka and Barzilai hospitals. Damage was also done to a factory, a vehicle and an electrical post.

Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported two members of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization were killed and seven Palestinians were injured in the bombings overnight. A total of 6 Palestinians have been killed since the fighting began over the weekend.

Since Saturday, Palestinian rockets triggered air raid sirens in Beersheba Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gan Yavne and smaller communities. At least nine long-range rockets were included in the barrage, landing at Beersheba Ashkelon, Ashdod, Sderot, the Eshkol Regional Council area and the Be'er Tuviya area.

Palestinians fire anti-tank missile at IDF patrol

The latest round of violence began when terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at an IDF Jeep carrying out a routine patrol on the Israeli side of the border on Saturday, striking the vehicle directly and injuring four soldiers.

One soldier was in serious condition with a head injury, one was moderately wounded, and two were lightly injured. They were airlifted to the Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba.

Immediately afterwards, tanks opened fire on the area from which the missile was fired. Tanks also fired on pre-selected targets in the Sa'ajiya area of Gaza near Nahal Oz. Palestinian sources said four people were killed in the return fire, and 25 others were injured.

Home Front Command Minister Avi Dichter said that Israel must restore its military deterrence against Gaza, saying that "this is an unbearable and unreasonable situation. Israel cannot accept a daily terrorist drizzle from Gaza."

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum blamed Israel for the incident, saying, "The occupation's targeting of civilians was a grave escalation that must not pass in silence," and adding that "resistance must be reinforced in order to block the aggression."

In an separate incident at another location, four people were wounded in an Israeli air strike in the town of Khan Younis.

The incident came days after terrorists in Gaza blew up a massive tunnel they had dug from southern Gaza toward Israel. No one was injured in that incident. but a Jeep that was in the area was blown sideways by the force of the explosion

I agree 100 percent.  But now with Obama as President, Netenyahu is unlikely to do anything of significance to these Arabs.  Netenyahu is like a cowering school child before Principal Obama.

Minister: Prepare for Large Scale Gaza Op

Min. Uzi Landau says it is time to hit the heads of Hamas and prepare a ground assault.

Minister of Water and Infrastructure, Uzi Landau (Yisrael Beytenu), said Sunday that the IDF needs to prepare a ground assault into Gaza, and to begin targeting the heads of Hamas.

"We must not just go after those firing at Israel, but the true sources of the fire," Landau said, and explained that he was referring to Hamas's leaders, who control Gaza.

Landau said that he is reminded now of the interview by Mahmoud Abbas ("Abu Mazen") last week that had leftist proponents of the Oslo Accords gloating. "The 'Osloids' who called him a partner received their answer in the form of missile fire from Gaza," he asserted.

"It is important to remember," he added, "that if our security forces were not operating in Judea and Samaria, the 'partner' would not have survived for one minute there. Can Abu Mazen even stop the fire there?"

"Unfortunately, the situation is such that besides hitting the heads of Hamas, we must prepare to operate in Gaza and launch a large scale operation in order to bring back quiet and security. The planning of the operation should begin today and it should be executed at the most appropriate time, when the fire begins again."

Not ground assault..I mean by the sky and just bomb a lot of places that Hamas and terrorists could be hiding even if they aren't there...and collateral damage..i really don't care who gets killed over there.  Later on, they can take the tanks and flatten all the homes and buildings they have built and run the inhabitants out of Gaza into terrorist Egypt or the friendly sharks of the Mediterranean.

I am reading a book called The Boy, in which Israeli historian Dan Porat unravels the story around perhaps the most powerful image of the Holocaust. It is the image of a Jewish boy, with his hands up, outside the Warsaw Ghetto.

This morning, Gaza terrorists again scheduled their rocket fire to coincide with the time that children, just like the one in that photograph, are taken to school. It is only a combination of Israel’s civil defence infastructure, cancelled school days, and sheer luck that prevent these terrorists from successfully killing and maiming on the scale they dream of.

Israel has friends in many places. Yet as the south is bombarded, the world is largely silent, save the clearing of a few throats in preparation for a fresh round of finger-wagging ‘naughty naughties’ to be directed at Israel when it acts to defend itself against this menace.

It is the very possibility of defence that is the most significant difference between the era in which the photograph was taken, and now. Israel’s regional enemies are plentiful, murderous and determined. Many of Israel’s obsessive critics around the world are driven by misunderstandings, prejudice and the glow that comes from bullying consensus.

Yet the Jewish people now have a state and an army. The world can criticise both all it likes, they keep photographs like this one where they should be – in the past.

I feel sorry for the citizens of Israel who continuously have to endure a cycle compromised in this position only to leftist policies and an ignorant mentality towards islam and Israel's neighbors. Oh yes, in time, integration and love will sure bring arabs to love Israel instead of wanting to destroy it, sure! Instead, they refused to listen to the people who spoke common sense about Israel's neighbors and labeled them as 'radicals', banning many of them from the public and from the country. What is the state of Israel now? Continuously enduring rockets, killing several terrorists which does NOTHING in terms of stopping them and letting Egypt create a treaty. In addition, allowing these types of healthcare, education and even government positions with a helpful hand of evicting Jews from their homes. Someone told me that they were against settlers because IDF soldiers who are stationed there risk their lives for a small amount of people. So I guess that Jews are more to blame versus the people who are the ones with psychotic ideology? I think not. Well, at least giving up land and doing nothing has improved Israel's image. Oh wait, it's not. It's just as hated as it was years ago and less secure.
