Brooklyn, NY - NYPD of the 61st Pct responded to a break-in where the perps left with approximately $4,000 in cash and checks from the Jewish Center of Nachlath Zion, 2201 East 23rd Street.
Synagogue officials said that the thieves entered the house of worship by forcing open a basement window. Pry marks made by a crowbar or other tool were found on the windowsill, officials said.
Once inside, thieves forced their way into an office, where the money was found.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.
