 Obama: No to Margaret Thatcher, yes to Hugo Chavez

A few weeks ago, President Obama sent an official delegation to the funeral of Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. But he won't be sending one to the funeral of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Hat Tip: Bad Blue).

    In an amazing snub, Barack Obama, who sent an official delegation to Venezuela for tyrannical socialist dictator, Hugo Chavez’s funeral, won’t send one to Great Britain’s Margaret Thatcher’s.

    This is shocking, but I guess it shouldn’t be (although it still is!).  One of Marxist Obama’s first shamefully embarrassing, classless acts as president was to return a bust of the great British leader, Winston Churchill, a gift from Britain to the U.S. which was displayed in the White House.  It was such a disgusting act that the Obama propaganda machine originally lied about it, calling the story “100% false.”  Finally, they had to admit it was true, but like all decisions made by “Dear Leader” Obama, it was largely ignored by the mainstream media.  It should have been a strong warning to Americans about Obama’s ideology.

    The truth is that there is no difference in Obama’s political ideology from Chavez’s.  None. Chavez hated America and everything it stood for, yet “our president” gladly and proudly sends representatives from his regime to attend the madman’s funeral.  Margaret Thatcher loved America, loved free markets, loved individual liberty, and was instrumental in joining with Ronald Reagan in bringing down the evil communists in the Soviet Union.  No wonder he’s snubbing her.

I really cannot understand what any American likes about dictators like Chavez. The political and economic ideology runs completely against the American way of life that I wonder what those who hold these despots as heros have been taught about these regimes.

I enjoy freedom of speech, I enjoy freedom of religion, I enjoy the ability to choose which product I want to buy, I enjoy the freedom of movement I have in America, I enjoy the fact that I am paid what I am worth for my work, I enjoy the fact that I don't have to be a member of a labor union in order to work, I enjoy I don't have to pay labor unions which destroy our freedoms. I have spoken to people who have fled socialist, fascist, and communist regimes and they all hold the American model up against the despotic regimes which they fled.

All those who love Chavez should go move to Venezuela to learn about how life under despots are really lived.

I guess obama was too busy partying with Jay-Z and Dennis Rodman to pay respects to such a powerful and accomplished woman...

Those two need to lose their American citizenship for being traitors to their country.

Leftist philosophy also runs completely against the American way of life. It's not so much what they've been taught about the communist regimes (although communism is not strongly condemned in schools). It's what they've been taught about the USA.

The USA is said to be the cause of suffering in the third world by means of our prosperity. When I was in college they told me and other students that because people in the USA consume so much more than people in the third world, we are causing the third world to be poor. The other side of the coin, that we produce a lot more, and send a lot of aid to the third world with our surplus, isn't really taught at all.

Now the leftists and idiots like Ron Paul claim that the USA brought 9/11 upon itself because we caused legitimate anger by the terrorists and that the terrorists had a legitimate response to the USA's provocation.

To top it all off, Islam is seen as a religion of peace and a way to add diversity to our society by young leftists while Christian fundamentalists and Bible believing Orthodox Jews are seen as adhering to restrictive, antiquated ways of thinking that only a complete "right wing nut job" would believe in.

Right now in the USA, except for the immigrants that you mentioned, you have many people who do not understand why those freedoms are important. They've never known hardship, or lack of anything. They've never gone through rationing of any kind. They've never been threatened with their lives over their choice of religious faith.

All those who love Chavez should go move to Venezuela to learn about how life under despots are really lived.
