In the twisted, upside-down universe of Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Christian who thinks abortion is wrong is morally equivalent to the Muslim jihadis who slammed airplanes into the World Trade Center on Sept 11, 2001.
CNS News reports that Lee said investigators need to analyze Christian "militants" in America because they too might try to “bring down the country.”
She made her comments at a hearing chaired by Rep. Peter King (R-NY) on Muslim radicalization in U.S. prisons earlier in the week.
Tiffany Gabbay writes at The Blaze:
During Wednesday’s second round of hearings on radical Islam in America, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) found a random incident in which an abortion clinic was bombed by an alleged “Christian militant” and compared it to radical Islamists, who, en masse, have waged jihad against an entire country.

“As we look to be informational, we should include an analysis of how Christian militants or others might bring down the country. We have to look broadly, do we not?” Lee asked Patrick Dunleavy, a former New York corrections official.
But Dunleavy wasn't buying Lee's outrageous claim.
“I don’t know that Christian militants have foreign country backing or foreign country financing,” he answered.
Lee, however, continued to equate Christians opposed to abortion with Islamic terrorists determined to destroy America.
“I don’t think that’s the issue," she said. "The issue is whether or not their intent is to undermine the laws of this nation. And I think it is clear that that is the case. So it’s not -- your distinction is not answering the question.”
Of course, evangelical Christians who oppose abortion have no desire to bring down or overthrow the country as Jackson Lee asserts.
However, a post at TopNewsReports.com notes:
But I believe Congresswoman Lee in her convoluted equation has a point. There are plenty of radical/militant Christians running around America with their air of legitimacy attached. Father Michael Pfleger and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright come to mind. So does the death dealing Rev. Al Sharpton and the extortionist Rev. Jesse Jackson. So yes, I would agree on a total investigation of those paragons of co-called “Christian” radicalism.
When the Congresswoman begins calling witnesses against the Black Theology preaching and America hating racist Jeremiah Wright, she has the greatest family of witnesses she could possibly have! President Barack Hussein Obama, his wife and children spent a solid 20 years listening to Wright’s racist pulpit rants “damning” America in an effort to (in Lee’s words) “bring down the country.” After testimony from the Obamas, Rep. Jackson-Lee wouldn’t need another word to make her solid point against “Christian Militants”.
But what can one expect from a member of congress who literally thinks of herself as a "queen?"
