Flag this messageShomron Jewish settlement Leader Warns Migron will be 'Second Amona'Thursday, June 26, 2008 12:53 AM
From: "David Ha'ivri * דוד העברי" <[email protected]>View contact details To: [email protected] Sivan 5768, 26 June 08 10:39http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/126632
by Gil Ronen(IsraelNN.com) Shomron Regional Council Head Gershon Masika said Wednesday that the struggle over the community of Migron, which the government has slated for demolition, will be "a second Amona" and will make that confrontation look like no more than an "opening shot."  %ad%

In an interview for this weekend's issue of SOS-Israel's leaflet, "Eretz Yisrael Shelanu," Masika said: "The attempt to make ourselves look beautiful for the general public and show them that we are nice, not 'extremists,' and want to connect to them with love, doesn't work. The general public understands nuances and it understood that in the struggle for Gush Katif we were not determined enough to hold on to the land.

"The result of the policy that led to the expulsion is that nobody gives a hoot about the expellees. They were thrown to the dogs and they are down and out and humiliated in refugee camps. Experience has thus shown that we need to change the policy. Our line of argumentation is not political, but very simple: the Land of Israel is ours and we will not give up a single grain of sand. Besides that, the concessions cause Jewish blood to be spilled."

'Go on the offensive'
"It is time to switch to an offensive war and stop being on the defensive all the time," Masika said. "We need to shout that the emperor has no clothes. The governments took us from bad to worse, from concession to concession, and brought us down to the gates of hell. They have no ideological or security value anymore, and they only serve our enemies."

Asked about the events at Yitzhar last week, he said: "The evacuation did not proceed with ease. There was serious resistance with dozens wounded on both sides. And the main thing is that by the grace of G-d, on the same night of the destruction of the structure, the new caravan at Givat Shaked was built, which shows great determination.

"As council head I tried to be there and prevent the violence and rioting by the uniform-wearers against the wonderful, devoted and ideological youth that is worthy of all praise. We admire this wonderful youth, that is the pride of Judea and Samaria and gives us great pride."

Not lambs any more
"The lesson of Gush Katif is that going like lambs to the slaughter yields no benefit but only means going from bad to worse, to a complete destruction of the State of Israel, of the military, of the communities, a deep chasm through society and bleeding wounds that will apparently never heal."

Masika, who was elected in the aftermath of the Disengagement and is not considered a part of the old Yesha leadership establishment, explained: "When you demand your rights without caring about the cost, the treatment you will receive will be, at the very worst, what the Druze got and what the Bedouins in the Negev got. They don't give a second thought to anything and that is why they are not uprooted, even though this is not their land."

"If the country does not wake up at the last minute, Migron will be a second Amona, with all of the serious meaning that involves. The reason the residents of Gush Katif were thrown to the dogs was that the eviction was wrapped in promises that supposedly, it would improve the security situation, and also improve the evacuees' lives. In fact they saw that the eviction not only did not improve anything, it actually made security worse and the evacuees reached rock-bottom."

'Daring struggle' ahead
"We will fight for every clod of earth. As the Arabs – lehavdil – say, that the land is sacred and one may not give up a single grain. Our struggle for the land is an existential necessity. We received it from the Kadosh Baruch Hu rightfully and no one is permitted to give it up. And the main thing like I said is that this is simply a security matter for the lives of millions of Jews. The State of Israel also understands that the planned eviction will not go smoothly. There will be a determined struggle and daring here with no compromises, and Amona will seem like an opening shot compared to it.

"I learned two things from the Expulsion, Masika added: "The real field of battle is the political one. That is why we must unite all of the forces in a single bloc with no differences, and the uniting cry should be the one uttered by Mattityahu the Maccabee, "mi leHashem elai!" ("Whoever is for the Lord – let him come to me!"), and then we will be able to infuse the public with a new spirit.

"With HaShem's help, the day is not far when the leadership shall come out of the religious and hareidi public. Only we have the values, the clinging to Torah and Land and soil, as opposed to the alienated and disconnected secular leadership."

David wrote all of that?  Or is the author someone else who is disagreeing with him?

that's correct... he sent this out to his list because he supposedly maintains a public posture of agreeing with the sentiment and tenor of this courageous new leader... but i suspect he has really long-ago sold-out to the slime out of fear or corruption (it doesn't matter which... rav meir and binyamin never did and these are the only examples of true leadership that we should recognize and endeavor to follow and emulate)... anyway... so last summer david announced a plan to "help" the hilltop youth overcome their two-year (now three) disappointment with their parents' lack of fight for gush katif and their falling-out with their kahanist idealism as a result due to the subsequent disillusionment with the movement from the yesha leadership's "all talk and no action" campaign to save gaza and from the youth learning of the deception and betrayal of some of their yesha members and leaders who actually aided the slime in the expulsion instead of fighting against it as had been their very outspoken public line...

and so what was haivri's "great idea" to rescue these kids from drugs and other assorted self-destructive vices and to restore their self-esteem and self-respect...? why none other than to farm them out to be trained as voluntary cops by the ariel police force... the very same police force responsible for some of the atrocities committed against the jewish residents of amona... i immediately "saw the writing on the wall" and called what was really going to become of them... the turning of them into voluntary kapos and i was banned from revava for  relentlessly keeping at this point and tenor of attack on david for a couple of days non-stop... shabat shalom... nik. out...

David HaIvri never participates in the heroic resistance of the hilltop outposts. The only thing he ever did was claim prior to the Gush Katif expulsion that he would bring 10,000 Jews to the Temple Mount to divert soldiers and police from the Gush. The name of his group is Revava, which means 10,000 in Hebrew. For days, the Bolshevik news media gave him massive publicity as HaIvri boasted that he would have 10,000 Jews at the Temple Mount. When the moment of truth came, HaIvri brought only 10 people to the Temple Mount. The media had a field day saying that HaIvri was just bluffing (which was obviously true). And the media spent several days gloating that the opponents of the Gush Katif expulsion are all one big bluff. It was a disastrous psychological blow to the opponents of the Gush Katif surrender. Aside from this catastrophe, HaIvri has never done anything else.

thanks for this inside info... i heard the day of that david alone was there but that yisroel meir cohen... his revava partner-in-crime... claimed to be detained by the authorities when he tried to get into the old city early that sun. morning... they also claim the police cordened-off access to har habayit and turned away throngs of people trying to reach there... true or not true...? we both live in golut... so we weren't there... what did your sources tell you about this claim of crowds held back...?

i always found their story of what happened that day (rosh chodesh nissan) to be very odd... yisroel told about chummy meetings with the police beforehand and how they were warned to give up this campaign or else and when they didn't... nothing happened to either of them... and talk of yisroel a shabak agent and then nothing... no retry to go up there enmasse... the whole thing just fell silent... and then david announced that there would be no more quoting of rav meir in any revava outreach efforts or in its publications... and then he said he was coerced by mike into dropping binyamin's darke torah parsha sheets... and did so without a fight... i found all of this so strange... and so therefore i concluded all of this "revava to har habayit" business all might have been just an elaborate ruse to effectively deflate the anti-expulsion forces... a diversion within a diversion... like the famous camping-out in a cold rainy winter vigil across from sharon's home or the knesset i forget which... and the sick miles-long forced-march hike in the scorching and stifling summer sun... so this was just another ploy of the slime...? huh... nik. shabat shalom...

There were no crowds being held back. We have people from our movement who live in Yerushalayim. Only about 10 people showed up. This is one of the few times when the news media and the police were actually telling the truth for a change. The media and the police reported that he had only 10 people. And that was the truth.

And the fact that he is one of the biggest informers alive doesn't help. Lets not forget that his sick, tiny forum has been bashing this movt for many years now and hates righteous gentiles.
I am urinating on a Koran.

He is a Shabak agent plain and simple. I am not sure if he was facing prosecution and cut a deal with the Israeli government to get out of a hard sentence or if he chose a career in informing, but either way, he is.

And Guzzy (aka the biscuit feeder, penguin, etc) is so gullible and hateful that as soon as Haivri told him he hates JTF and was united with him against CBP's movement, he immediately shared all of the details of his operations with him.

Has the view on the Australian mollified somewhat in recent years?

Actually, Haivri just wrote an oped in A7 himself which completely contradicts this.
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/13283#.UZDbyMraim0

He opens with a line from Ido Aharoni, Acting Consul General at the Israeli Consulate in New York:  " I will never forget how Ido asked me, "Do you know why you (settlers) failed in your campaign for Gush Katif?" He went on to explain his view of the reason: "because you followed the failed hasbara (pr, ed.) tactics used by the government of Israel and mainstream Zionist organizations for the past 70 years."

Then what does Haivri proceed to do?   Why, to tell us he "disagrees" with AHaroni even though his opinion "should be studied" (whatever that means)
"Now, I do not see eye to eye with all of Ido's conclusions, but I do agree that the results of his intensive research are very valuable and should be studied and used for future strategizing."

Then he writes the rest of his article saying how the goal should still be the same (convince Israelis through hasbara) but that hasbara should be focused on something different (the calm, normal lives they lead, rather than constantly talking about Arab violence against them).

The article you posted, nikmatdam, and the opinions of Mesika therein, it would seem to me have absolutely NOTHING to do with Haivri or his opinions.

And this proves that after all these years, he still doesn't get it.
