When I saw the topic I had the same reaction as you with your comment.

Colleges and Universities are full of black only programs. I graduated in 2000 and from what I understand, it is even worse now...... In medical school the preferential treatment of blacks was appalling. It went as far as giving copies of exams (the same one, not old exams) a day beforehand for them to study, special review classes (where info regarding exams was divulged), extra credit, different grading scale..... all for blacks ONLY....  other minorities and whites could not participate. Oh, and the special scholarships that were awarded even with mediocre grades.

Two black students complained because they actually worked for and earned their grades and felt it an insult to be offered special opportunities unavailable to others. They said they didn't need unfair advantages to succeed, they would do it like everyone else. I greatly admired them for that.

I know a half breed (mixed black and 18 other races) who got into a chemistry class through quotas.
I joked about doing the same thing. He said they're are already too many Chinese in the chemistry class - it won't work for me.
