Lyrics to If You Don't Leave Now, By Brigyn
« on: August 15, 2013, 01:17:26 PM »
If you don’t leave now

Say, say what’s on your mind
Say, say what’s stopping you
Say, say, your fears will disappear
Say, say the words that will make you free

Come, come on our tip toes we will tread
Come, come quietly we will hide
Come, come hold my hand and
Come, come we’ll run away from here

You know what will happen if you don’t leave now
The same situation turned into a nightmare, if you don’t leave now

Listen, listen freedom calls
Listen, listen everywhere is silent
Listen, listen this is your chance for a better life
Listen, listen somewhere that’s far away

You know what will happen if you don’t leave now
The same situation turned into a nightmare, if you don’t leave now

I love these lyrics as they are a contradiction of should one speak out and stand or run cower and hide, Makes me think of the Ghetto scene in the movie DEFIANCE!

“It is a revolution; a revolution of the most intense character; in which belief in the justice, prudence, and wisdom of secession is blended with the keenest sense of wrong and outrage, and it can no more be checked by human effort for the time than a prairie fire by a gardener’s watering pot.”
