Hi from near Tel Aviv
« on: November 16, 2013, 12:39:02 PM »
Hi everyone,
I was born and grew up in the North of England. I have lived near Tel Aviv since I was 19. I am now 37, so my girlish username is out of date. :)

I was going to jump right in and post, but just want to ask:
Is it O.K to revive dead threads from years back?
Some forums get all annoyed over it.

Thanks

Welcome!
Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the horn, and the people be not warned, and the sword do come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Hello. I don't know that there is a policy here about reviving old threads. I think if you have a good insight to add you are welcome to post on any thread.

Thanks for answering. I'll have a go then, when I collect my thoughts.

There were a number of Moshe Feiglin posts that I wanted to answer from years ago. I was a member of his faction for 2 years. I left because I had health problems and found it hard to attend meetings or vote on the election day for candidates. He got elected without me.  I believe Feiglin is the best chance at the moment for changing things. But I see views on him are varied here.

Thank You everyone for the welcome.

Yeah I like the guy too, but I think Hayamin would be the real hope for Israel. Would be pleased if they ran, won, and worked with Mr. Feiglin.

Welcome back ? -This is my first time I've joined. I tried before with a similar username but it did not work.  Thank you for the welcome though. It's great to see another female here.

I have fibromyalgia. This is an illness with widespread muscle pain with no known cause and no good treatment. I used the name fibrogirl on a fibromyalgia forum and decided to use it here, because it is easy to remember. I should have thought up something else perhaps.

I would like to say I came to live in Israel due to Zionism, but really it was due to ill health. I had a number of health problems, fibromyalgia being among them. The medical care in Britain was bad and could have killed me. So my parents took me to Israel and I realised that the Israeli health care system was better for people with chronic conditions, like myself, so I stayed. The medical care here is far superior to the British system. It's not perfect, but it is much better.

From my experience the health care in Israel is very good at some very specific things, and pretty bad at the rest.
Never had any experience with the health care in other countries, though.
