A thousand years ago the Muslims were actually smarter than most Europeans. Europe was in the Dark Ages. On the other hand, Muslims were taking part in "the Golden Age of Islam" and had smart Jews such as Rambam helping them. But there was nothing Islamic about the Golden Age. Islam had not fully set in yet so they weren't completely dumb. I guess now they want to go back to 1,400 years ago to the time of Mohammad when the Arabs were stupid and nothing but small desert tribes in Arabia with no serious role in World History. Then Mohammad gave them Islam and they started World Jihad. But 300 years after Mohammad was when Muslims were smart. Then they reverted back to real Islam.
