Wow, finally a country that has gotten its head of its rectum!!!

As, much as JTFers and myself may look down (and rightly so!) on some anti-Israel Blacks and Africans, it appears that this small African nation that is no stranger to struggle, has made a bold step that even our beloved nation of Israel has refused to administer.  Instead of banning Islam, like Angola has done, Israel gives money to Islamic organizations, builds mosques, frees Islamic terrorists who murdered children and even reserves some of the holiest places of Judaism to only be used by Muslims.  The nation of Angola is bold and noble, in my eyes. THis is a country that seeks to defend its people, culture and own religion against what it perceives as a malicious threats..  I think we Jews can learn from these group of Africans.  Maybe, as more and more Africans are being massacred by Muslims, more African nations will wake up and see their Islamic neighbors and citizens do not have good intentions for them.

If only we Jews could learn from their experiences. Sadly, we Jews answer to Mother Europe, the UN and Uncle Hussein Obama..

It looks like the African country of Angola will be the first official country to carry out Rabbi Kahane's vision!!  I hope other countries will stand up and fight the evil Islamic tyranny and also ban Islam and destroy the mosques in their country, just the same way Islam and Muslims ban all non-Islamic religions and destroy non-Islamic places of worship in their own countries.

A number of news outlets have reported that Angola has "banned" Islam and started to dismantle mosques in a bold effort to stem the spread of Muslim extremism.

Weekly French-language Moroccan newspaper La Nouvelle Tribune published an article on Friday sourcing "several" Angolan officials, including the Southwest African nation's minister of culture, Rosa Cruz, who reportedly offered the following remarks, which have been translated from French: "The process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice."

The media reports have not described why exactly Islam apparently faces a need to be legalized despite its presence in the country for many years.

OnIslam.net reports that the African economic news agency Agence Ecofin wrote that Cruz made the statement at an appearance last week before the 6th Commission of the National Assembly. The website goes on to note that, "According to several Angolan newspapers, Angola has become the first country in the world to ban Islam and Muslims, taking first measures by destroying mosques in the country."

They deserve and have earned a hat-tip, but don't forget that a corrupt and violent government rules there, and we shouldn't go pull a Putin again.

This was achieved because Angola does not depend on oil from Arab nations, they have their own oil well and produce. Unlike India and Israel, unless we get those hydrogen fuel cells to do the job.

:'( :'(  This brings tears to my eyes (of joy!)..  Instead of using construction equipment to destroy the homes of Jews, like is done in Israel, the Angolan government is utilizing construction equipment to demolish mosques..  I would have loved to have recorded that minaret falling to the ground...

Seems to be fake. Knew it was too good to be true. The website pisslamonline is a nazi mudrat pighood font site, and probably thought it would get them political points.

Could have fooled me, even Arutz  Sheva bought into the rumor:
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/174445#.UpRNPMTiWKI

Sad to hear, this is not true..  After reading the article, I am starting to have my suspicions.. Either that, or the president started to feel the heat from Islamic and Pro-Islamic countries and backed off on his original plan.

Looks like the story may not be a hoax afterall.. Rather, it appears the leader of Angola started to feel the heat for his anti-Islamic actions and now has his PR people trying to play both sides of the fence.. However, it appears Angola has a long history of battling with its Islamic minority group.  It is definitely confirmed, from a very reputable (in popularity, at least) news source, The Guardian, that Angola has been shutting down mosques for a while now and does indeed have laws in effect that have worked to hamper and prevent Muslims from practicing their religion freely in the country.  It appears the Angolan government is definitely pursuing an eradication of Islam, but is treading carefully, because of very obvious world resistance.  I found the pictures of Palestinians burning the Angolan flag, quite amusing and vaguely familiar.. Hmmmmm.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/nov/28/angola-accused-banning-islam-mosques

I guess my only concern now is how Jewish people are received in this country.  Under the law in effect I am wondering if openly practicing Judaism is forbidden.  It appears that the Angolan people were singling out Muslims for fear of terrorist activity and upheavels they saw in surrounding African nations.  There was many cases of Muslims being deported from Angola for wearing hijabs or openly practicing the religion in public.

Somehow, I do not believe Angola would alienate Jews , especially considering the leader has taken a pro-Israel stance and has look to Israel as a trade partner, as well as Israel partook in clearing the mines in the country during past civil wars.  There was one bad experience where they would not receive an openly gay Ambassador from Israel to Angola, which caused a bit of friction.  But all I can say is, why should a religious CHristian country have to accommodate a homosexual.  If anything, I blame Israel , rather than Angola, for appointing openly homosexual political figures to go to a country where Homosexuality is clearly a crime.  And, I actually agree with the Angolans on this sentiment.  Too bad, Israel cannot banish homosexuality from its soil..  Shame on us.. Once again.

Quote
President Dos Santos visited Israel in 2005. In March 2006, the trade volume between the two countries amounted to $400 million.[3] The Israeli ambassador to Angola is Sagui Karni.[4] In 2010, the Angolan government refused to receive openly gay Isi Yanouka as the new ambassador due to his sexuality.[5]
In August 2012, the Angolan chancellor took a three-day visit to Jerusalem, where the governments of Angola and Israel ratified in Tel Aviv an agreement to strengthen the bonds between both countries. Israeli President Shimon Peres said that this should be based on the fields of science and technology, economy, and security, and the Angolan chancellor expressed the desire to continue with the bilateral cooperation in health, agriculture, science and technology, and the formation of Angolan experts.[6]

Now, despite all the good deeds of Angola, I guess I cannot put it past an African nation or a Christian dictator, that he would treat us Jews properly.  I am keeping my hopes up.  Banishing Islam is the beginning of healing the scars of our world.

Don't be silly. Jews in Angola? Let's see: http://www.kosherdelight.com/Angola.htm Oh look there's a map of Angola. http://kosherdelight.com/Angola_Synagogues.shtml --> oh shucks.

There was a presence at one point in time (http://www.jewishgen.org/SAfrica/subcont.htm#ANGOLA) And those 14 Angolan Jews I'm sure loved the place. Just joking, Africa, but the bottom line is we don't have to worry about our Jewish community there.

This site though, which is retarded, claims it's Eretz Yisrael: (http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Angola) Although sources suggest that Angola is the original birthplace of the Jews. In fact, secular Zionists tried to make it into one (http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/13531049108575976#.UpiFlOJPmjY) but no dice from normal Jews. There definately was a couple Jews there in history, such as this one (http://cadmus.eui.eu/handle/1814/27607) who was enslaved there by Portugeese, sent to Brazil, and then murdered by being accused of Judaism, a capital crime in garbage Brazil (YS"V), during their inquisition. At any rate, here's a list of Jewish schools in Angola: http://web.archive.org/web/20010216043019/http://www.shemayisrael.co.il/cgi-bin/db-search.pl, (search yourself http://web.archive.org/web/20010216043019/http://www.shemayisrael.co.il/schools/) so no, don't worry.

I could have never imagined for a second that a country like Angola would become a world leader even for an instance on such vital issue. Even if it may not be seen as too important at this juncture, at least it is like a wild spark in a dry and dense forest.

Although the leader of Angola may or may not have said outright that "Islam is banned", it is certainly not a hoax that Angola has been battling the Muslim minority and shutting down and destroying mosques in the country for many years now.   Considering the large number of media outlets reporting about Angola's "persecution" of Muslims, there is certainly plenty of facts being displayed that Angola is waging a silent war against the Islamic threat in the country.  If you read the article you will see many instances of Muslims being forced to stop practicing their religion, mosques being shut down and demolished and Muslims deported from the country.  Angola has a long track record of not being accepting at all to the Muslim population.   What happened is that somebody may have misrepresented facts to inflame the current heated situation that Angola's religious Christian government has with the Muslims in the country.

I am not shocked at the leader's response to foreign nations, saying that Angola has not banned Islam.  Any intelligent statesman would be clever in how he would deal with foreign powers interrogating his actions.  Just because the President denies an outright ban on Islam, doesn't make Angola's struggles against Islam and the Muslims in the country a hoax.
