Warsaw, Poland - Nazi Labor Camp Remains Uncovered
« on: July 30, 2007, 07:36:06 AM »

Warsaw, Poland - Authorities in the village of Pustkowo in southeastern Poland have uncovered the remains of World War II Nazi labor camp prisoners.
The skeletons were found at the Pustkowo camp near Debica, 60 miles east of Krakow.

Pustkowo authorities said the remains were believed to be executed prisoners whose bodies were burned by the Nazis in the early 1940s.
Authorities have proposed building a memorial in tribute to the victims and covering the site with transparent glass.
About 15,000 people, mainly Poles, Jews and Russians, were killed in the Pustkowo labor camp during World War II. [upi]
