Ok, I'm going to break my long-standing reputation and defend the Pope against the continued knocking of him. I do not condone the actions of the Catholic church and it's long history of problems with the Jewish people, but I can understand how JTF readers who are Catholics can see these threads as derogatory against the entire system of beliefs of Catholicism.

I can understand that people who are brought up in the religion can look at what is being said here and think we are just another group of Catholic haters. Indeed I am somewhat guilty of this but my attacks on the Catholic church were limited solely to issues where the Church exhibited antisemitism.

I am not so much concerned with the popes dealing with his own people... I am more concerned with the Vaticans position vis-a-vis Israel. There remains a lot of issues, as Giulio Meotti is wont to expose, concerning the Catholic church supporting the so-called palestinians. I am very worried about the upcoming visit to Israel by this pontiff and what he will say concerning the so-called 'oppression of the palestinian people'.

Muman, as you know I am a Christian, and albeit not a Catholic one, Catholics (that are true Christians) are my brothers and sisters and I will defend them.

I detest BerGOGlio not because he is a Catholic, but because everything he is doing is with the purpose of subverting the Christian (and Catholic) faith. He is throwing over a thousand years of Catholic doctrine and tradition in favor of the religion of the new world order and that is my business. That is bad for Catholicism, it is bad for Christianity in general, and you better believe it's bad for Judaism and Israel (as BerGOGlio's recent visit with Mahmoud Abbas proves).

If you want to blindly follow him, fine, but there have been Men of G-d, Kings, and charismatic leaders that have lead large groups of people into darkness and suffering.
