no, but still...he will suggest an audio CD to learn Hebrew and that he would not make a very good teacher.

I actually think Chaim would be the best teacher. If not, he would be the most entertaining. That would encourage people to stick with it.

Yeh, but Chaim has a life and a very important job.  I'm sure he would love to teach us, but has to focus on other things especially to find a way into Israel.  I know that he would mention there are so many other Hebrew teachers in NY that are more qualified than him who can do it for all of us (but that can get expensive i'm sure).  I like the idea of him maybe doing a brief 2 minute lesson on askjtf...but...2 minutes a week isn't enough to be great at Hebrew either...just a taste..

Unless someone can come up with something better, i think that two or three people should pair up. someone at a higher level can help someone with something on the lower level and go on fro there.

HOwever, if one is goign to tutor, then he/she needs the proper material to tutor with. If i were teaching someone how to read Hebrew, i would take the prayer book and make that person read a certain important prayer over and over again.  And the thing is, you can't do that over the internet..it needs to be done in person.
