Apparently Taqiyya started when Shia Muslims tried to stop the Sunnis from butchering them. They'd pass themselves as Sunni. Now THAT is comedy.

When you look at Islamic apologist sites, what you see is laundering of verses without explanation. Mentioning verses and Hadiths against lying, yet not mentioning the many instances in which it's acceptable - even obligatory as such with enemies.
