I signed but i could'nt find this petition

Loyalist Party ballot proposal to amend the N. Y. city charter to declassify Islam as a religion

Currently, this is the only attempt at LEGALLY declassifying Islam as a religion. It is a New York City charter amendment and will require 50,000 signature to get on the ballot, but it is an important step. Signature gathering will begin in the summer of 2008 and will run alongside Vito Vacarro's campaign for the N. Y. state assembly in the 26th district.

The Loyalist petition is an Actual petition, not an internet one.  It will involve registered signature gatherers, etc.  It has to be done by the book, so that The Charter can at least consider this as a referendum.  We'll start the actual signature gathering for this in early-mid 2008, but we are just starting to spread the word about it now.
