American's have fun, Asians are made into robots (no offense to Asians, but that's the culture). Anyway either way America still is and does do better overall. Technology such as Facebook doesn't have to be that bad because people adopt and actually come up with new technology and other such things, also communicate better. Asian society where its all about test scores and such has great drawbacks as well. First off people kids have no life. Secondly being smarter (actually doing better on test scores) doesn't mean you will be or are more successful.

The reason is that at least here in NYC, they teach the kids what's on those stupid standard tests and not the real stuff that the teachers are supposed to be teaching.  For example, when I was in high school in 1987, I took American History.  Instead of learning about the American Revolution, we were being taught how a bill becomes a law in the US.  I went up to the teacher before class and asked her why are we being taught this?  She said that "wars are too bloody".  I'm not kidding.  Because of changes like this, kids in the US don't know their history or anything else because we are being taught what's on the tests nothing more.

I must support this video by saying that what we have studied in fifth grade at age of 10 about biology was equivalent to biology college course here.
I remember when we were 11-12 the teacher would give us 10 countries to study for geography oral exam: main rivers, mountains, population, size, economy, how many square miles they occupy. Out of these 10 the teacher will test you on 3 random ones. On top of that you must draw all the important places on the blank maps like: cities, mountains, rivers...
We have a false prosperity based on borrowed money and world's reserve currency. But all that is about to change and you will see how we do "better overall".
