Happy Birthday To The Sun!
« on: April 08, 2014, 05:46:30 PM »
The Sun turned 5,773 years old at Midnight (Jerusalem Solar Time), Tuesday, April 8. That means 23 years from now we will say Birkat HaChama again!

I've never read or seen anyone wishing the sun a happy birthday before.  This is a first.

Jews have done it for many years...
You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities
Duet 16:13-14

Aren't you not supposed to talk to inanimate objects? Also, Pharaoh is the first birthday celebrated in Torah, so I don't think that's kosher. We're celebrating when Hashem created the universe.

Apparently telling my money to "grow up" or "get well soon" is not allowed.
