Saudi Student Convicted In Bomb Plot

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/jun/27/nation/la-na-nn-texas-saudi-bomb-20120627

What could possibly go wrong? This guy was here legally on a student visa, he was enrolled in a legitimate institution working hard towards his major, had no criminal record--who could possibly have seen this coming?

You are aware this story is from 2012 (2 years ago)...

I think I remember hearing about it back then...

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities
Duet 16:13-14

Here is a current update on the story... It appears this guy is seeking an appeal of the original conviction...

Aldawsari denied appeal in terrorism case
3/31/2014

The fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will not consider a former Lubbock college student's appeal in a terrorism case.

23-year-old Khalid Aldawsari is serving life in prison for attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

This past January, a three-judge panel of the appeals court affirmed that conviction and sentence.

Aldawsari's request for a re-hearing before all of the fifth circuit judges has been denied.

FBI agents arrested Aldawsari at his Lubbock apartment in 2011, after he purchased chemicals and supplies that could be used to make an explosive device. An Amarillo jury convicted him of the federal crime a year later.

Yes. The month series is a collection of the "best of the best" items from our shawarma-loving friends, not necessarily original content.

I like it too but it is a food Arabs traditionally like.
