Dutch MP Calls For Banning Koran as 'Fascist Book'

Mr Wilders has so much support for his stand among the general public in The Netherlands that the latest opinion polls show that he would get 15 parliamentary seats if an election were to be held this week. A Dutch-Algerian muslim 'rapper' called "Appa" has threatened that if he were ever to meet Wilders, he would put a bullet through his head. He has also composed a song and put it on the internet to this effect. It is widely feared among conservative voters that Wilders will also be assassinated by another one of those deeply mysterious 'lone-gunman assassins' with vague motives such as the one who gunned down Professor Pim Fortuyn, whose new party was also making massive gains because Fortuyn also was warning against muslimisation of The Netherlands before he was gunned down in broad daylight in a broadcasting-studio's parking lot right under the eyes of the 'security' which had been appointed to protect Fortuyn. Wilders has not had a normal life for several years ever since death threats were uttered against him and Ayaan Hirshi Ali, a Dutch parliamentarian who had to flee The Netherlands for the USA after she had published a movie called "Submission" together with the (also assinated) Dutch movie-maker Theo van Gogh. The Netherlands normally averages about 12 murders a year so the extent of these events can be easily assessed from this simple statistic. To summarise, I fear for Wilders' life. He's a deeply courageous man.

Yes I know something of him and his party, because his country is nex to mine. He seems to be a really great politician. He wrote a letter with the whole truth and he didn't feel ashamed to say what everyone in this forum thinks. The former leader of his party was shot on the street. But I don't know if it was a muslim. But it's most likely, because the whole party is against islam. They gain about 10 percent in the countrywide elections.

He also featured on CNN's Christiane Amanpour programme this week and discussed his call to ban the Q'uran with her.
