Israel signs $15 billion gas deal with Jordan

Israel signed a memorandum of understanding with Jordan Wednesday, under which it will supply the Hashemite Kingdom with $15 billion worth of natural gas from its Leviathan energy field over 15 years. The new deal is the largest collaboration with Jordan to date, and will make Israel its chief supplier, according to the Globes business news website. “At this time, Israel is becoming an energy superpower, which will supply the energy needs of its neighbors and strengthen its standing as a central source of energy supply in the region, and I welcome it,” Israeli Energy Minister Silvan Shalom said in a statement. The Jordanians turned to Israel because their supply of natural gas from Egypt had been halted by repeated terrorist attacks on the gas pipeline from Egypt, a Channel 2 report said. The finds are expected to transform Israel from an energy importer to a major world player in the gas market.

If Israel get's paid and in full then no problem. Anyway the Hashemite Kingdom will probably go into its own ISIS and/or revolution from inside problems. Hashemite kingdom absolutely no threat to Israel. Sell them the gas and get paid.

What is Israel's rationale for giving its water away and then buying it from Nazi Turkey?  Is it just sheer insanity or is there some reason, however nutty, for it?

I didn't. I called Egypt Egyptian. Egypt supplies gas but the Muslim Brotherhood bombs the gas lines. Israel used to buy Egyptian gas from the Sinai. Because The Muslim Brotherhood stops the sale of Egyptian gas, Israel is now selling gas instead of Egypt.

I remember Israel discovered off shore gas off of Gaza. Hopefully Israel won't surrender the gas mines to the Hamas Muslim Nazis like it did in the Sinai to the Egyptian Muslim Nazis.

Part of the peace treaty with Jordan has Israel supply water from The Kinneret. I guess it's because Israel control the water that flows into the Jordan River. The Deganya Dam stops some of the water from going to the part of the Jordan River where it forms the Israeli-Jordanian Border.

 Too late, Ehud Bardak (barak) signed off at least some of the gas fields to the Arab-Muslim Nazis. They still didn't figure out who will take the $ and what %. Fatah or Hamas, and which members within these organizations. They fought and fight each other over this and didn't start using it yet.

Jordan is an Muslim artificial country.  Israel shouldn't have anything to do with Jordan other than seize the land of Jordan if Jordan attacks Israel directly or indirectly.

I am opposed to exporting gas to anyone since we need to stay energy independent for as long as we can. Israel own consumption, which is expected to grow considerably, is going to deplete its entire proven natgas reserves within 30-40 years. Since allot of that is going for export, we are going to run out of natgas in less then 20 years.
