Just Say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to running Romney in 2016
« on: September 17, 2014, 05:47:16 PM »
I cannot believe the drivel I am reading in the lame-stream media today. There seems to be serious consideration for the republican party to run the lame-brained Mitt Romney (shame, shame) in 2016. I feel dirty for having voted for this failure in 2012 and G-d knows I will never vote for him again (even if it means the democrats winning).

If the republicans decide to nominate Romney I will finally start voting 3rd party because the republican party would be pathetic. I also feel stupid having voted for McCain because he too was lame-brained and ineffective in the run-up to the elections. Republicans need a STRONG conservative voice, one who can articulate the merit of a conservative policy regarding economics, and a strong America which demands respect in the world.

Enough with the old losers, no more Romneys or McCains or Bushes, no more Clintons....

I truly pray that Ted Cruz makes it to be the republican presidential nominee.

Apparently Fag Buchanan suggests that Romney should run in 2016:

Apparently my opinion is shared by 60% of the eligible voters:

http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/Mitt-Romney-Presidential-election-2016/2014/09/17/id/595188/

When it comes to the 2016 Presidential race, Americans are fed up with politics as usual and searching for someone new.

In a surprising new poll from AOL, when asked if they would prefer to see former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican Mitt Romney in the White House, a huge majority, 61 percent, said they would rather have "anyone else."

While neither candidate has officially announced that they are running, and Romney has, in fact, denied that he will seek the White House again, the poll results must come as disturbing news for them, but encouraging news for a host of other Presidential wannabes from both parties lined up at the starting gate.

Urgent: Who Is Your Choice for the GOP's 2016 Nominee?

Out of 51,000 people who voted online, only 26 percent said they would vote for Clinton and just 13 percent said they would back Romney, despite a growing push in the Republican Party for Romney to run again.

One of Romney's major backers and former finance co-chair, SkyBridge Capital's Anthony Scaramucci, told Business Insider, "The governor has a very strong following, including myself. And he'd be my No. 1 draft pick.

"I think he's going to do it. I don't think there's any reason for him not to do it. His family is behind him."

Romney appeared to agree with AOL's voters when he told radio host Hugh Hewitt in August, "I love the country enough to know that I'm not as good a candidate this time around as I think the other guys would be, because they're new and not defined."
However, he added, "I do not want to see Hillary Clinton as our next President" and hinted, "circumstances can change."

Clinton, stumping for Democratic candidates in Iowa, would say only, "Well, it is true . . . I'm thinking about it" when asked if she was running for President.

According to Real Clear Politics latest poll roundup, Clinton is far in the lead for the nomination over her nearest Democratic opponent, Vice President Joe Biden, by 64.5 percent to 10.3 percent.

On the Republican side, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., are close, at 11.5, 10.8 and 10.3 percent respectively.

I just voted in NewsMax poll which indicates a slight lead for Senator Cruz in the field of potential republican nominees...

Romney supports Israel, so it would be great if he came to power.

The problem is that he probably lacks the charisma to win the election.

Ted Cruz  has the advantage that he is Latino and would win the Latino vote?

And (assuming he can win - which is a big question), how would that be a bad thing?

He supports Israel and he is also supporting lower taxes in the US. The only concern was he seems to be overly hostile against Russia, when the focus should be on Middle East.

Romney has NO CHANCE of beating Clinton... Republicans need a candidate who WANTS to win, not just appear on TV and shake hands.

Watch the debates from the last election to see how lame Romney is.

This is probably sadly true.

What about Marco Rubio (like Cruz, he could also win the Latino vote).

According to most true conservatives Romney is not a real conservative republican. We here at JTF and in general call these candidates RINO (Republican In Name Only)...

Willard Mitt Romney (born March 12, 1947)  Destroyed Massachusetts with the forerunner of Obamacare while governor.  Despite all the evidence to the contrary, Romney believes global warming is caused by man.  He is pro-cap and trade, pro-gay marriage, pro-abortion, pro-big government, and pro-liberal progressive agenda.  For up to date information and videos visit:  http://www.romneyexposed.com/

Quote
Long History of Rejecting Conservatism

Romney assured Massachusetts voters when he was running for the Senate in 1994 that he did not want to go back to Reaganomics. He said during that campaign, "I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I'm not trying to return to Reagan-Bush."

Romney was also one of the few Republicans in 1994 to refuse to sign on to Newt Gingrich's Contract with America. He said during that campaign, "In my view, it is not a good idea to go into a contract, like what was organized by the Republican Party in Washington, laying out a whole series of things that the party says 'these are the things we are going to do.' I think that's a mistake." That mistake led to an historic Republican takeover of Congress in 1994. But Romney was one of the few Republicans to lose that year.

True to form, even today Romney is effectively promising not to take America back to pro-growth Reaganomics. Cowed by President Obama's class warfare rhetoric, Romney promises to eliminate taxes on capital gains, interest, and dividends, but only for middle income Americans. He says he would do that because they, not the wealthy, were the ones most hurt by the recession.

But effective tax policy does not distribute tax cuts based on who "needs" a tax cut the most. That is Obama neo-socialist class rhetoric. Effective tax policy enacts tax cuts that will do the most to promote economic growth and prosperity.

That is what Reagan did in cutting tax rates across the board for everybody, including the wealthy who have the most resources to invest. That is what the middle class and working people actually need most, cutting tax rates that will promote their jobs, higher wages, and personal prosperity.

Romney the Republican establishment businessman is telling us with his limited, crabbed policy kowtowing to Obama's class warfare rhetoric that he feels, like Bush I and Republican RINO moderates generally, that he cannot explain and defend good supply-side policy to the public. Given his background and who he is as a rich Wall Street takeover artist, he personally may be right about that. Who is going to take seriously a Wall Street millionaire calling for tax cuts for millionaires? That is why he personally is not a good vessel for carrying the Republican standard this year. He is actually a perfect caricature for the neo-Marxist class warfare arguments of Obama and the Occupy Wall Street rabble. That is one reason why Romney, in fact, is the least electable.

Romney's understanding of economic policy as a businessman is overblown. There is no real history of those with private business experience coming to Washington and making good policy there as a result. See, for example, Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. The term that free market activists use in Washington to refer to the business reps they know from first hand experience is "corporate pukes."

Only those from private business steeped in ideology and intellectual battle have done well advancing the free market cause in Washington, such as William Simon.

The only thing that affects us, is his foreign policy and also fact he supports Israel.  The other stuff doesn't affect me, so why should I care.

But I understand that Romney probably would lose the election. What about Marco Rubio?

Three reasons why I hope Mitt Romney doesn't run for anything other than dog catcher:

1.  Romney supports a so called two state solution.
2.  Romney predictably ran an ultra politically correct campaign against BHO.
3.  Romney didn't contest the 2012 election results despite obvious massive voter fraud.

Ted Cruz or Bust!

That garbage man also has a better chance of being elected President than Mitt Romney.

I am against voting third party because it does us no good. Ted Cruz would be ideal, but I would never vote against the Republican Party just because I don't like the guy we are running. Voting third party only helps the democrats with no chance of the third party guy going any where. See Ross Perot for reference. That big eared demon put Clinton in office twice.

The Republican party won't win, even if it wins. The Republican party would work with it, if that was the only choice.
