On the english and hebrew JTF news site, it is claimed the new government conversion law will lead to the acceptance of phoney deform (reform) Jewish converts.

The final version of the conversion law, passed yesterday by the government, certainly conforms to the rulings of Jewish law – even the more stringent views. The law requires the inclusion of a rabbi authorized by the Chief Rabbinate as part of the conversion court comprised of local rabbis. This is far more than what Jewish law requires. The law solves the problem of conversion for the children of non-Jewish new immigrants to Israel and makes conversion accessible on non-ultra-Orthodox tracks. This is the root of the ultra-Orthodox opposition to the bill.
“Those who are stringent on conversion," said Rabbi Chaim Amsalem, "must understand that they are being lax when it comes to assimilation.”
Rabbi Amsalem is right. A child who was not converted, despite the fact that it was halachically permissible to do so, is not going anywhere. He will stay with us, live here and marry here. It is far better to recognize that a problem exists and implement a halachic solution to solve it now. www.jewishisrael.org

I don't want phony jews to cynically manipulate the conversion laws, but the german nazis killed a lot of reform or secular jews too.  Non religious jews are just as entitled to the protections Israel has to offer as religious jews.

This is a question that has been bothering me for a while but how do we know that the reform jews are even Jewish by Halacha? There is a ridiculous number and they behave chillul hashem every way possible and have no conversion standard.

Even a secular israeli wouldn't go into a store and order bacon with a Magen David on like a reform Jew would as part of their "Judaism"

Easy conversions [where there was no acceptance by the convert to observe the entire Torah] actually promotes assimilation and intermarriage.
Because people walk around believing these people are really Jews when they remain non-Jews.
They might never marry someone blatantly non-Jewish but might marry someone who has the recognition of some Israeli conversion program as being Jewish.

Concerning Child Conversions - Don't think that you will end up with all of them being halachicly Jewish in the end.
