Save Western Civilization > Save Europe

Ann Coulter was right!!! (Historical simulation game)

Matthias Corvinus:
Europa Universalis is a historical simulation game. You actually learn a lot from it, like why the Balkans are such a mess today, and why Iran (Shiite) and Iraq (Sunni) hate each other. Also, a lot of today's countries come with considerable assembly required (e.g. Muscovy + Pskov + Novgorod + Tver = Russia, and all four countries hate each other!) In any event, Ann Coulter must have been the King of Burgundy's advisor:

Hail Columbia:
LMAO!!!  Oh man, what a glorious dream, a non-Muslim Mecca!

Dan:
This looks like it would be a lot of fun to play... do you know how to get it?

http://www.europauniversalis3.com/ but I would use Froogle (now Google products) to get the best price. I'd also wait for Napoleon's Ambition. A problem with EU III is that it doesn't contain historical events (or actual historical rulers) so you don't learn as much from it as you did from EU II. EU II was almost like a European history course on a disk, at least until your actions and the computer's turned it into alternate history.

Dan:
That's great because I really like these types of games... History based with some significance and relevance.
The last game I played like this, it was 2-3 yrs ago called Medieval Wars part I and part II was Viking Invasion all in one packet. Are you familiar with them? I think that I might buy them if I could get a demo and like it. Thanks!
