The Motivations and Fallacies behind Gun Control
Thursday, August 23, 2007, 06:32 PM - Gun Control
One of the key liberal elite stances in America is the opposition of gun rights.  It is a stance that mirrors that of Hitler and Stalin.  The result of such actions would disarm the majority so the minority can violently rule.  Gun control is part of a left-wing assault on the general pillars of healthy civilization, whether done maliciously or with "good intentions."  With some, it may be well-intended; however the majority of Democrats/Liberals have an agenda that is rooted in an anti-American and purposely destructive mindset.  It is hypocritical that those who support the "freedom" of abortion oppose the freedom of protection.  The same people who often support the "freedoms" of gay marriage, pornography, and flag desecration do not support the freedom to self-defense!

Certain opponents, when they do have “good” intentions, operate under two false pretenses:
a) That criminals follow the law.
b) That arming law-abiding citizens does not increase safety, but increases violence.

In a gun controlled society, only criminals and elites would have guns.  Such a society would be inherently unfair to the average citizen.  Criminals would have less of a deterrent when contemplating attacking someone.  With the rolling back of the second amendment, the government would have nobody to resist its attempt to further restrict freedoms.  With the fall of the second amendment, the first amendment would next be in a state of danger.

This is why it is in the interests of freedom loving citizens to defend the second amendment.  It is the gun owner, not the journalist, who maintains societal freedoms and order.  Force and strength gain respect, not weakness.  A people who lie down will be exploited by others, but a people who stand up will be liberated.
It is obvious to me that there is no rational and logical argument behind gun control, only dogmatic belief.
