Originally Ethiopians were Semites, technically white, similar to the ancient Jews. It is only after many centuries of mixture from Sub-Saharan Africa that most (not all) look black.

Edit: I'm not trying to say that non-black "original" Ethiopians are superior to black Ethiopians, just pointing out that racially they were not the same.

The original Ethiopians were white Hamites. Just like the Ancient Egyptians and other North Africans were all white Hamites, so were Ethiopians. They were not Semites but their languages are related to Semitic languages. Eventually the curse of Ham led them to became black when they mixed with the Congoid blacks. But Adam and Noah were real people even if you believe some humans come from hominids.

Secular linguists say Hebrew is an Afro-Asiatic language. Afro means Hamitic and Asiatic refers to Semitic. The more traditional linguists call it Hamo-Semitic. These particular Ethiopians look even more white than the average ones. Even Ethiopian goyim are racially white. Ethiopians are generally very dark but have white facial features.
