Canada encouraging Serbia to join EU

I'm all for trade with Serbia, and Canada does indeed have the same values as Serbia, but i don't know what John Baird is up to here.

Why doesn't he go join the EU? What is he talking about Ukrainian sovereignty while asking Serbia to give up part of theirs to the Nazi EU? Since when do conservatives support the EU? What on earth about EU membership would make Serbia a better place to do business? I need a Serbian take on this. Why hasn't Serbia joined the EU, and why is Baird trying to make you do so?

I don't think Serbia should join the EU. The EU itself should not exist at all.
