« on: November 02, 2015, 04:20:22 AM »
PRISTINA – Kosovo Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic on Thursday condemned the breaking into two Serbian Orthodox churches, the Temple of the Birth of the Most Holy Mother of God in the Softovic village and St. Elijah’s Church in Kacanik, southeastern Kosovo-Metohija.

The exact time when the break-ins took place is unknown, said a statement from his ministry – which was notified of the incidents by Urosevac parish priest Zivojin Kojic – noting that the churches were completely empty before the attacks and that theft could not have been a motive behind the attacks.

Jevtic, who on Thursday visited with Kojic the St. Elijah’s Church, whose door was broken into, and the Temple of the Birth of the Most Holy Mother of God, where the door and windows were smashed, expressed concern over the fact that churches continue to be a target for attackers.
