Last Friday, a German court sentenced Reinhold Hanning (YSV), 94, a former Auschwitz SS Sergeant to 6 years in prison, charged with complicity in the murder of at least 170.000 people between January 1943 and June 1944.
Part of his job was making sure Jews never left the camp alive.
Enrolled in the Waffen SS, Hanning was transferred to Auschwitz in 1942 where he guarded the death camp and arrivals by train.
