One point the lecturer made I have to protest against strongly. He interpreted the Ohr Hachaim's understanding of the Messiah that Messiah would not have to be a biological descendant of King David.
He is wrong. The Messianic King has to be a biological descendant of David.
What the Ohr Hachaim must have been referring to is something else not related to the biological lineage of the Messiah.
