After reading the following article one thing that comes to mind is : assuming Donald Trump will emerge as the Republican Nominee, it will be interesting to see if he gets the usual bounce that a candidate gets following a convention.

The anti-Trump delegates may have been tamped down last week in their bid to allow delegates to vote their conscience, but that doesn’t mean they’re giving up.
Good.
For his months of whining about the “GOP establishment” and their alleged vendetta against him, Trump and his people worked just fine with the establishment, in order to make sure dissenting voices had nowhere to go. They did this, then the Trump team and GOP Chairman Reince Priebus took a victory lap together.

This victory didn’t come clean, however. There were reports of threats against anti-Trump delegates and even their families. These were thug tactics that give a disturbing glimpse into what a Trump administration would look like, and are all the more reason to oppose his candidacy, no matter who his VP is.
The Hill reported on the next move for the “Never Trump” group at the convention.
A group of delegates opposed to their party's presumptive nominee is plotting a variety of ways to upend the convention as the nation's focus turns to Cleveland on Monday.
One Louisiana delegate told the Post that some are preparing to bog down the convention with procedural maneuvers.
Others hope to force a roll call vote, a move that would drag out proceedings and give a spotlight to any delegates hoping to embarrass Trump by voting against him while the cameras are rolling.
Several "minority reports," which detail proposals that were rejected by committees, are reportedly in the works.
Will this keep Trump from securing the nomination? It’s highly unlikely, but that being said, what it will do is crack this façade of a unified party. Trump will emerge as the nominee, but he will be nominee with a dark cloud hanging over his head.
What’s more, Reince Priebus will have been exposed for the corrupt and despicable coward he is.
"To sound like Donald Trump – they rigged it," said Kendal Unruh, a delegate who has been a leader of the "Never Trump" movement within the convention. "The very thing they scream about is the very thing they did. I want to make this point extraordinarily clear: What a bunch of liars they revealed themselves to be."
They are liars. They are corrupt. They are the antithesis of everything the conservative movement embodies.
And they need to be dismissed.
