This was orchestrated by Comey, mostly by leaking info to the press, in a desperation move to have opportunity in ftont of congress to defend his own honor, vent about the fact he was fired for what he believes are unjust reasons, vent about the president  (for firing him), and publicly suggest the president may be up to something untoward.

One thing that did actually come out of it was that Comey admitted that the attorney general Loretta Lynch ordered to downplay Hillary Clinton’s criminal investigation.

The hearing was just a show.  It didn't prove or disprove anything.  Just that Comey was mad that Trump fired him.
