They should be returned to the Jews, not to the Iraqi Muslim Nazis who stole them from the Jewish Community of Iraq.

According to the article, it was only temporary, for four years. So the state dept is not giving away anything. It borrowed stuff that it has to return.

It belongs to the Jewish Community that fled to Israel in 1951. The Iraqi Muslim Nazis didn't let the Jews take everything and most of the Jews left with a few suitcases in Operation Ezra and Nehemiah. My grandparents were among the Jews that made aliyah in that group.

Saying it belongs to the Iraqi Muslims is like saying things stolen from Jews by the German Nazis belong to Germany. It belong at The Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center in Israel, not in Iraq where the Arabs would destroy it (just look at what they did to synagogues in Gaza when Israel surrendered).

The Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center was established in 1973 to preserve the history of the Jewish community in Iraq and to ensure that it remains part of the future narrative of the Jewish nation. To this end, the Center fosters research, preservation and publication of the culture and folklore of Iraqi Jewry. Adjacent to the Center is the Museum of Babylonian Jewry, opened to the public in 1988 and exhibiting chapters from the history of Babylonian Jewry throughout the generations over the course of more than 2,600 years.

Then you need to yell at the Israeli government.
Why should Americans care? You understand?

The only one responsible is the owner.

There was a politician or two that said something. America has control of it, they took over Iraq, not Israel. Also, lending something of value to an Arab muslim country is giving. No matter how good your collection agents are, lend them guns for 4 years and you won't get 1 back.

Just to clarify, I am not putting down our great friend Israel.
I'm saying they can blame their jellyfish leaders.

Just the way we here in the USA can blame ourselves for electing the likes of Clinton, Bush, Obongo, etc...

Why do you guys elect scum.
Why do we elect scum.

They don't want to lend it to Iraq. They want to give it to Iraq. They think it's on loan from Iraq. They are hypocrites. If they really think things belong in the country they are from, then so many museums owe many archeological findings back to Arab countries, especially Egypt, but also other Ancient Near East countries.

Speaking of this, there was supposed to be a Dead Sea Scroll exhibit in Germany but Germany refused to recognize it as property of Israel so Israel is not sending it. They claim it belongs to the Fakies. They would refuse to give it back to Israel.
