Reagan left Israel alone most of his time in office but his administration has the stain of prosecuting Jonathan Pollard and not giving over the information to Israel that Pollard gave Israel, even though the US was supposed to give it according do an agreement with Israel.

Trump is the only US President to recognize Jerusalem and to move the Embassy. It seems like he is also leaving Israel alone since as Chaim says, "He doesn't want to be a looser." and he sees how the PLO doesn't want peace. Let's hope he doesn't listen to the Jew boys that he sends as emissaries.

Yeah... too soon to tell.

But so far... Trump seems way better than Bush.  What angers me, is that Bush pretended to be pro-Israel to get the evangelical vote... but when he got into office... he didn't do anything he promised.... in spite of the fact that he had 8 years to do it.

Bush also said he'd move the embassy to Jerusalem.  And when he got into office... he decided it was 'too destabilizing' to do so...  it's obvious he never intended to.  And which is more 'destabilizing'?  Moving the U.S. embassy, or wasting a decade trying to setup a democracy in Iraq... all while costing trillions of dollars, and thousands of U.S. lives?

So far Trump seems to be the least of the worst.

Hard to tell. No president has ever really been pro Israel.

Regan gave more money to Iran than Obama.

Trump

Pros
Embassy
Iran
Verbal support

Cons
Verbal attack on settlements

Maybe it's Trump, someone add to the list and we'll do the math.

I don't think Trump himself condemned the settlements... But I know members of his cabinet/administration did.  I think someone called them 'occupied', and they have had quarrels with Trump's Israeli Ambassador (Friedman) about not calling them Judea-Samaria, But from Trump himself, I remember he tweeted, 'Keep building in Judea-Samaria' last year.

The problem is that Trump rushed his cabinet/transition team... it was sloppy... and its still is full of RINO's.  Lets not forget his horrible pick for Sec of State, 'Tillerson', who was so far left, that he insisted we keep the Iran deal.  All these RINO cabinet picks that have come back to bite him.

I know that early-on Trump seemed like he'd be ok with the two-state solution, but I think there are reasons to be optimistic.  From what I've heard... Trump is trying to undo the stupidity of Bush.  Remember, it was Bush who pushed the 'two-state' solution into the republican narrative, and many of the RINO's followed his lead.  I heard Friedman recently say that nobody in his circle even mentions the two-state solution anymore.  Who knows.... but I can safely say that Trump is certainly better than Bush.

Too soon or has been more pro Israel (not just verbally) in his first year/ and hopefully term than all the others put together.
