Reut Solomon, daughter of Elad Solomon who was murdered in the terrorist attack in Neve Tzuf last July, participated on Tuesday evening in the “Songs in their Memory” event at the Knesset, in honor of Israel’s Memorial Day.

Solomon read a moving letter she had written to her father:

“My dear father Elad,

I'm proud of you and admire you, you fought the terrorist until you no longer could, so we could hide.

Dad, if you had not stopped him he would have reached us and Mom, on the floor above, and who knows what would have happened then ...

My father Elad,

I know you were proud of us and our hero mother, who protected us - all five of us, that we would not utter a word, even though we heard everything that was happening downstairs ...

My father Elad. You'll always be with me. In class, at home, in my heart. I'll miss you so much my entire life. My entire life I’ll be waiting for the door to open, and I'll wait for you, Dad.

I dream that you're standing there, and I run to you and you hug me tight ...

Dad, you were, and will always be the best father in the world.

I thank God for giving me such a father, and I ask myself why my father, Elad, was taken away so quickly.
